Marriage and Domestic Partnership
The following information concerns marriage and domestic partner registration and the most current information about the implementation of the "Jury and Marriage Amendment Act of 2009."
The Marriage Bureau, within the DC Courts, issues marriage licenses, and authorizes religious celebrants to perform marriages in the District of Columbia. The Bureau also maintains a list of judges and court officials who perform civil weddings at the courthouse.
